One of the best workers in acrylics we have found is William Montero, an artist we feel will one day be recognized by name. He often works outdoors, sitting on one of the concrete benches at the Plaza de la Cultura, across from the National Theater and the historic Gran Hotel Costa Rica. He paints colorful and carefully detailed Costa Rican scenes which require more hours of labor than he could ever afford if he did not live simply and in Costa Rica. He is an older man who has seen much of his beautiful country, which he now reproduces for your enjoyment. As you can see, this one depicts the flora and fauna one might expect to see around a local waterfall, although he has playfully included a small owl you might not expect to see in the daytime as a private joke.
